I rented Brink. Dislike. It's a shame, because I immediately fell in love with the customization and vaulting/free running elements of the game, buggy as they are. It's just the shit objectives that you have to complete over and over before they register as actually being completed that make me hate it with a passion.

Considering how bad you two say it is, I find it strange that he wasn't more harsh with it. Then again I haven't played it/probably won't ever play it, so I can't judge for myself.

OH MY GOD YES! Seriously, this is the kind of obscure objectives that made me want to destroy the game. Take out the guard? I planted an entire clip into the cunt and he wouldn't die so I figured I had to help him reach the destination.

I see those complaints all the time and I think they could and probably will be fixed quite easily.

It really needs a proper SP campaign though.

Yeah, I read those complaints before I rented the game and thought the exact same thing. Then I put the game in and got the 'an update is available for this game blah blah blah' message, so I downloaded the patch. PROBLEMS ARE STILL THERE. So if they took the time to patch SOMETHING, why the fuck did they leave SO MUCH wrong with this horrible game? As much as I generally like Bethesda, this game is just...Arrogant.

Well, it isn't made by Bethesda, it was made by Splash Damage, and published by Bethesda's parent company. SD had made the enemy territory games, which I really liked, but Brink is pretty awful. I need to get around to selling it.

I've been enjoying L.A. Noire a lot lately and I'm in the homicide cases now. I really like the interrogation system, makes me feel like a detective, hah.

I don't like it when the game gives you a new partner once you've completed a series of cases though.

Tried to play Brink again after a friend said that they got rid of the lag. While most of it is gone, there is still a noticeable delay between my input and the game. There is also a lack of actual players, mot games are just bots, not to mention the broken class system. Selling it tomorrow, surprised that I should be able to get $25 for it.

Also, looking for a good RPG on 360. Any suggestions?

Just started playing Prince of Persia, the one from 2008. It's... eugh, well, my opinion of it is made worse by the fact that any setting I have it on, the frame rate it atrocious. I bought it as part of the deal on Steam where you got five PoP games; I might skip to Sands of Time.

There really aren't any solid RPG's for the 360. You might want to browse the arcade, though. I had a lot of fun with Deathspank. The sequel wasn't as good as the first because they added guns, but it's still a pretty fun hack and slash rpg-ish download.

I finished L.A. Noire today. Took me a good 24hrs to beat it, including cruising through the city and completing some street crimes too. I'll keep this text as spoiler-free as much as I can.

It's definitely a very good game and the cases are quite interesting. Until the Arson desk.

The first desk is pretty much a basic tutorial, teaching you the interrogation stuff, finding clues and such. The second one, Traffic desk, is quite fun but nothing too special.

The third desk, Homicide, is (in my opinion) the best one. The cases in homicide are a bit repetitive but keeps you interested and the final homicide case, The Quarter Moon Murders, is perhaps the best case in the game. Was really fun to solve.

The Vice desk is good too but not as good as homicide (again, in my opinion). And your vice partner is such a douche.

The Arson desk is pretty bad to be honest, the cases are really similar and not that interesting. Your partner's okay though.

Anyways, then the ending...

WARNING: HUGE SPOILERS AHEAD, DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED L.A. NOIRE!
The final case pretty much ends up with Cole sacrificing himself to the floods to save Kelso and Elsa from the sewers. Pretty weird that they decided to just kill Cole with something so dumb, did they run out of ideas or something? A pretty bad ending to be honest.

Overall, a great game and I recommend it to everyone who wants a good singleplayer experience. However, don't buy this game expecting a 1940's GTA, you'll be disappointed if that's what you expect from it.

I'd give it a 8,5/10

Witcher 2 was announced for it today, so I think I will just wait for that. Crimson Alliance is also a new dungeon crawler that was announced recently for XBLA, 4 player co op, so that should be good as well.

Oh, if you've got a few points laying around, check out Avatar Adventurers Online. It's an indie game that tries to be an MMORPG using the dashboard avatars, but each server only hosts like 16 players at a time, so you don't run into people very often. Still, it's a pretty fun old school-ish rpg. Reminds me of early final fantasy. If you get it, let me know. Me and Elvis play a lot.

I've been playing some old PS1 games because I finally found a PS1 memory card (Yes!) at a local store that sells used games, albums, movies and such.

I also found Hogs of War in that particular store when I bought the memory card so I tried it out. Seems quite fun but I'll save it for later.

Anyways, so I've been playing Abe's Oddysee, Spiderman 1 and Crash Bandicoot 2: Wrath of Cortex.

Nostalgic!

Aye I'm looking forward to it. Though I'm hoping it won't be too expensive and will last me quite a while. Also, HARDER PUZZLES. There were a few that baffled me towards the end, it was lovely, I want ones that really fuck with my brain, where I have to sit down and have a think about it before going back to them.

So... I'm a little late but when Mass Effect first came out I didn't want to spend money on 'another' shooter. Had no idea it wasn't a shooter at all. Just got it off Steam and enjoying it so far, pretty deep game. Kind of a mix between Halo and Fallout.

I knew they'd pull that shit. Rockstar has got to have the most overpaid, talentless writing team in the entire world.

Yeah, the ending wasn't exactly the greatest but in my opinion, RDR's ending was good. Not in a "good good" way but it was a good way to end the game.
