How fast can you complete The Boardroom?

My record is 31 seconds. To prove it, I have made a video of it on YouTube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYkIdRKvgUM

Enjoy! How fast are you?

Neither could I when I did it for the first time. Anyone can beat my time if they played the area through over a hundred times like I did. Give it a go!

20 seconds when I tried just now, I expect fastability could beat that

Room for improvement?

Yeah nice glitching, do it for real next time! :P

Anyone can do it in ten seconds using cheats...

Glitching is legitimate in speedrunning. The idea is to use 'every trick in the book'. External cheats is where the line is drawn between a Speedrun and a TAS.

Ok, I didn't know that. So I guess that using the TAB cheat on the PC version would not be allowed, am I right?

I always thought that speedruns had to be done in the way you should do the level (despite that I didn't save the last Mudokon, but I didn't see that as a glitch). But if you need to go by 'every trick in the book' then Grieva holds the record. Well done!

Well, each to his own. Permitting glitching is just the widely accepted stance. Being able to do it properly very fast is still an achivement. And one that uses -ddcheat is still a speedrun, it just fits into a different catergory - Tool Assisted Speedruns.

Managed to shave a fraction of a second off using your route, so the clock read 1:29 when the lever was pulled

Doing it properly? Well done if so.

I would like to see you do a video of it.

I see, so my speedrun would come under a different category to Grieva's speedrun. :P

I suppose. Wasn't really what I meant, but yeah. It's a bit like weight divisions for boxing. You've got the lightweights (Tool Assisted) then the middleweights (Vanilla) then the hardcore heavyweights (Glitching, exploiting, shortcutting).

Well, doing it properly would be saving the Mudokon, being able to pull the lever without killing the Glukkons is a bug, but I didn't use fusionbly's edge glitch

I can up the vid 2moro tho

I'm not going to try right now, but last time I played AO, I completed the boardroom in about 2 or 3 minutes. I'm slow compared to the rest of you.

The first time I beat the Boardroom, I had only 2 seconds left. This most recent time I did it, it was in 37 seconds.

OH NO not the BIRDIE BOILAAAAH. ...ahem.

I can complete the Boardroom (last time I checked) in about a minute and twenty, thirty seconds or so. I don't play mine on the computer, so I have no access to glitches. I'm a lot faster than I was when I first started. Compared to you I'm ridiculously slow. :3
