This day marks the end of my ninth grade year at highschool. And now a new summer dawns over the world. So what are you going to be up to during the 06 summer?

I was going to make a thread just like this, due to my morning today. I had 3 exams in the past two days, and I have 2 tomorrow, but today was off. Here's what I wrote in my journal:

"Today, I woke up, and it was summer. It was 9:30, and I was lying in bed. My dog was at the foot of the bed, stretched out with the sun on him, and I had the fan going from the night before. Nobody was in the house except for me. I had the windows open, and outside I heard little St. Mark's (that's the grammar school across the street from me) kids screaming and playing, because it was their recess or something. Other than that, and the birds outside, it was silent, calm, and warm. I really can't describe it better than that.

It was summer."

I continued to talk about nostalgia and things, including with the story of how I got my charicature. I missed summer soooo much, and now it's here. My list of things to do so far includes:

1. Climb my local art gallery
2. Sleep/picnic in my local park
3. Make a safe habitat for turtles
4. Go geocaching
5. Set off fireworks at my friends house in the semi-boonies
6. Something else that I forgot.

To end the day with a comic strip quote, I'll say that the days are just packed.

I've still got half-a-year of school left -_-. Before you jump to any conclusions, let me tell you that here in Aust., everything is backwards so it is possible. For other countries I think that the school year ends in 15 June or sumthing, here it marks the end of semester 1. God-DAMMIT!

My summer will be spent firstly on a trip to China, and secondly preparing to move to uni.

Been going to graduation parties, had my own a few weeks ago. Saying goodbye to friends, just visited the University I'm attending next year and registered for classes. Enjoying this summer in my town before it won't be my home anymore...

Before my Summer hols, I've got this week, next week a Spanish trip with school, then another week before summer holidays. I doubt we'll do much actual work in the last week, regardless.
I wish I got more interesting animals in Britain that are relatively easily accessible, like those turtles. I thought that the Sticklebacks I have were a good find, really. Didn't used to live anywhere near were I can get some.

I could have chosen to take the summer off but my degree would have taken 4 years instead of the 2.5 it will take so I chose to work through the summer.

The good part of it...it's online so I can take my homework with me when I'm outside in a park or when I'm canoeing on the St. Croix this summer and then post it at night.

I hear that! I mean, who could possibly think that we have kangaroos in our backyards! I've only seen a Kangaroo once in my entire life (which is pretty damn good!(my life, i mean.)) and that was on camp at wilson's promontry. THE RUMOUR OF KANGA'S IN AUSSIE'S BACKYARDS IS NOT TRUE! well, maybe in steve irwins' backyard... Gah, glad i got that off me chest...

I try to sleep through most of winter since it is the most boring time of the year. And I also go to the cinemas with my friends on a weekly/fortnightly basis. I also go to mountain resorts.

I was out on the seventh of June. Going into 9th grade now....

My "To Do" list:
* Finish watching Chobits
* Finish drawing that goddamned comic book (Nine months!)
* Re-design several drawings
* Learn to effectively use Paintshop Pro
* Go to the creek and hang around in the woods
* Clean room
* Get sister to shut the hell up
* A visit to a couple haunted locations (Evansville, IN Library; Stepp Cemetary)
* Play video games
