this winter we got so much hail (in the space of 10 minutes), it looked just like snow.

the next day there were a lot of kids who got big bruises from getting in "snowball" fights.

Yesterday there was a torrential storm. My mother's bedroom on the verandah was soaked through, trees lost huge branches, things were blown all over the place and we all got rather wet.

It actually dropped to about 25 degrees, at an estimate.
