Oh the sweet sweet irony!

Ya bigot.
You just assume I know nothing beyond my own borders, I've had to endure several years in Europe, asshole. So lets just stop the flaming.
Oh, but you have a wonderful history of flaming, don't you?
Well you sure don't act like it.

Well you sure don't act like it.
Well I have.
I was at Stockholm for the 2002 new year celebration.
I lived in Sweden for a year and half.
Then lived in Germany for a couple months.
Boring months they were.
Back to the houses.

What an open minded person you are! I spent my summer one year in Peru and you don't see me bitching about it. I've also been to London, Nicaragua, and Canada, so stop trying to make it sound like non American is the armpit of the world. What did you ebven do in those months?

Dino. I am really mad right now as the internet connection is slower than a retard, and the xbox wont even read a new disc, So I am trying to be nice.
LOL. Seriously. LMFAO.

"Nice" eh? Let's have a little look at your definition of "Nice".

:
STOP WITH THE INSULTS.
You get mad, and start insulting people, over a comment about ROOFS.
I mean for God's sake!
You could have ignored the comment.
But no. You had to start this arguement.
So please. Stop.
Translation:

YOU! YOU DID IT! IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT! I'M ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS WHATSOEVER AND HAVE RELIEVED MYSELF OF ALL RESPONSIBILITY! HA! I'VE TURNED IT AROUND NOW! HA!

Um, no. Sorry, but that doesn't count as "nice". The only time the word "nice" would be used in connection with that little outburst would be if it preceded the word "try".

AFOS, stop trying to assign/deflect blame, and do what you need to do, which is apologise. That's how this ends, not with you kicking and screaming, ordering me to stop insulting you.

Everybody stop. I don't even know what the hell you guys are arguing about, but stop.

...

My house is currently an apartment, roughly 12 ft by 24 ft. And I have a roommate. College huzzah!

At least we have a refrigerator and a bathroom. All the other dorms on campus have NO kitchen facilities and public bathrooms. Eww.

The thread has been hijacked by dino and a flock of seagulls arguing about roofs, apparently.

My house is of a pretty decent size, especially since I got the biggest bedroom in the place. Too bad you can hear everything and anything through the walls and floor, makes it hard to do things while the family is around. At least we have a decent sized pool and nice pool table downstairs.

I live in the suburbs north of Chicago. The town has about 40,000 people in it. Maybe I'll get a Google Earth image and post it for reference.

Ah Chicago, that place is HUGE. When I was flying over it (during the night) on my way back to Pittsburgh, it looked like a grid of illuminated streets and the inner comercial zone sat right in the middle.

I really love Chicago. I wuz borne there (fun fact), and I've never lived there for more than three weeks. I moved backed to Buffalo a few weeks after birthness. It's like New York, but a gillion times cleaner! Also, I have a friend who lives in Cary, which is cool.

But yeah, Chicago rox0rz my b0xzors!

Chicago is good, but I wouldn't say it compares to New York city... New York city has this special character and buzz about it... Mmm, yes. I heart New York city.

Man I really need to get some photos of my house.

Hey everyone, sorry to ressurect this, but I'm too interested in the subject matter to let it go. Even if I have to do so by updating with a few crappy photos.

Unforatunately, these were taken at night (obviously) and were taken with the night vision lens, which makes things blurry/weird. I'll update tommorrowish.

I had a chance to visit Chicago once. I really liked the town. Like Kimon said, it's New York only exponentially cleaner, and the people are surprisingly nice considering that they live in such a crowded city. And the architecture... ah man. Pretty stuff.

I live in a frickin' tin can. I was buying a nice house with a big yard for my kids to play in but I lost my job three days before closing. I got another job right away but it's a commision job and I couldn't take the chance that I wouldn't be able to pay for it.

Well, sucks to Buffalo's erratic weather. It rained on Christmas and it was dark and dreary and and there was shitty snow and that's how it's been ever since Christmas. Blag, says me.

So how was everyone else's Christmas weather? Nice and Chris-missy?

Wow, how'd this topic manage to pass me by? It's the kind of self-indulgence I never shy away from. Well, let's get started.

I live in a zone-of-transition, the far from quaint suburb of Lakenham, which is filled with townies. Not even the hilarious ones you can laugh at, they're real wannabe townies. They're wannabe wannabes. The house is a typical Victorian terraced house - small and compact to save on heating, and close to the industry of the time, though I'm not sure what that was. I expect mustard isn't a bad guess.

There are three rooms on each of two floors. Both bedrooms and the bathroom are upstairs. In fact, the bathroom is right outside my room, so I can tell whether it's worth getting out of bed, and dive quickly in there when I need to tidy up. My room is teeny, with orange walls. My god, we spent ages on those walls, trying to get three shades of orange to fade into each other. Yeah, it was, uh, an attempt to emulate the skies over Necrum. Sheer fandalism, man. I drempt of Fuzzle pillows. Sheesh.

The kitchen is teeny, too. It used to be smaller, but we combined it with the larder. We added an outside toilet and porch. We would have added a conservatory by now, but we need the space clear to renovate the loft, which we never have enough money to do. We also redid the garage, made it twice the size, but still manage to fill it up to overflowing. The garden is small, but pretty in the summer. That's all the work Mum puts into it. I would love gardening, but I couldn't stand to take care of the ‘pests’.

Well, I think I ran out of interesting things to say a long time ago, so I'll try and return with pictures in the new year, when I can have access to a computer powerful enough to display pictures.

Whee! Thread reviving!

Well, since my home has changed, here's a few pictures I took shortly after I moved in. A few more things have been added to the walls, some knick-knacks moved around and added, but overall, here's how my side of the room generally looks. It's waaay cooler than my roomie's side.

I also plan on taking some pics around campus as it's gorgeous here, especially the sunsets at our little "fake" beach. But who knows when that will be..

Me FTW! I never remembered posting in this thread, but the little dot on the envelope symbol told me I had; so I went through it from beginning to end, looking for my post, and it turned out to be the very last one before Ambi revived it.

Apparently the three-paragraph epic I formulated wasn’t quite embarrassing enough, and I actually killed the thread as well. >.< I will take some nice photographs of my home (described above) before I set sail for uni.

This if funny - I was thinking about starting a "Show us your bedroom" thread the other day.

This is a fairly accurate depiction of what my bedroom looks like on a daily basis.

My desk, with standard level of clutter. Yes, that is Employee Lounge, just to show I can. On the wall (L-R) I have a Kabbalah Mancala (real Kabbalah, not the crappy Madonna sort) that I bought in Sefad, a photo I took of an amazing sunrise in Jerusalem, two things I got from my grandfather's place when he died and a clown made of this bready sort of stuff that I got when I was a kid.

The right side of my bedroom. Notice the clear delineation between clean and dirty clothing. Also note the shelves groaning under the weight of my textbooks. Yay for university!

Left side - the bed, covered in whatever was in my hands when I walked into the house. Better than just dropping it in the doorway and stepping over it all evening, which is what I normally do.

The bookshelf. Items of note include the shelves of books I never use but look good (bottom right especially, which are all my Jewish books I got for my bar-mitzvah and never opened), my shofar (jewish trumpet) and my bear Pants (which was a birthday present this year).
