I have to admit, this forum is pretty intimidating. (But then I'm also a lurking wuss :P)
But it's not nearly as bad as another forum I was on, where the mod/admin team would openly grill... well, pretty much anyone, but especially new members. And no one was a fan of the game the forums were made to discuss any more - Oddworld actually still gets enjoyed and discussed here, even with such a big gap in releases.
So it's not nearly as scary, seeing as you actually come here and see "yea, we like Oddworld" instead of "what? no, we stopped caring a few years back". That's the first thing enthusiastic greens will notice...
Idiots tend to leave of their own accord whether you actively chide them or not. And if they don't, they eventually learn. Or provide an impolite giggle or two at least.
Of course, I'm also generally very optimistic at first. =p

... I actually like you... I think you were a little annoying at first. But trust me... it's nothing bad. I was annoying for years before I learned. I joined OWF as soon as I joined the internet. So I knew nothing about netiquette. I still laugh when I read my old posts.
