Damn you Ambi and your post-moving. My pictures were smack, bang at the top of a new page before you started meddling.

Your room reminds me of my room, Nate.

Havoc, you have a very nice house.

Right, let’s see if I can kill this thread again… with these photos I took yesterday.

This is the family computer, distinguished from all other computers in the house by the unique ability of its to connect to the Internet. It’s through this that I am talking to you now, and do other cool stuff like learn languages and play online Scrabble at 4:30 a.m. In the photo it is decorated by a textbook on phonetics and phonology, a congratulatory card re my A-Level results, and a ten-year-old laptop we’re attempting to salvage à la The Laptop Guy.

This is where I watch t3h Stargate SG-1. zOMG Tiel’c!

This is my personal personal computer. This picture was taken in February, when it was new and shiney and not dusty. Please do not take note of the perilously large collection of The Simpsons merchandise to the right—it is merely the result of all those birthdays and Christmases where I obviously forgot to put enough decent stuff on my wishlists.

The computer desk currently, in an unusually tidy condition. Dust covers FTW!

The view from my bedroom window overlooking our garden, with one of the least ugly council estates I’ve come across in the background. I think it’s a fairly pretty view, but you will doubtless be more enthralled by my seamless Photoshopping.

My personal settee. Currently it is occupied by things I’m gathering to take to uni. The books are mostly computer language textbooks and English language style guides.

My custom-built wardrobe and bookshelves. On the far left are PC and Xbox games and my fledgling collection of NewScientist and Fortean Times magazines. The main shelves house, from left to right, on the top shelf: comedy, Douglas Adams, Red Dwarf; on the middle shelf: forteana, sci-fi, general fiction, The Simpsons, language reference; on the bottom shelf: culture, history, science, mathematics.

EDIT: edited because apparently PHP isn’t supported in posts. >.<

EDIT II: I’ve just noticed the cat sleeping under the computer desk in the top picture. His name is Simpson.

They are CPUs. The one on which the monitor sits is not actually used as a computer. It was our first computer, many years ago. We use it now only to raise the monitor. If it just sits on the desk, it’s too low and causes us strain.

Like I said, these picstures were taken during the renovation of my livingroom. Window and door frames were being painted from a dull white to a more warm brownish. And the floor was being rewaxed. Thus, no furniture :P.
Right now, however. I have a nice TV/Audio set on the wall and my computer across from it. I'l post some pictures of it all soon, but it ain't finnished yet realy. I still want some pictures on the wall and some plants here and there.

Howdy. Actually, I thought of the same topic as Kimon, who was faster than me. lol

I live in Leipzig on a mainstreet, called Adler. There are a lot of houses and my neighbourhood doesn't have so much trees as it should but we're going to get a little park there. I hate self made parks.
The street is very loud, it only gets silent at 3 am in the night and starts being loud at 5 am. lol
I thought I could get used to it but it will never happen since I grew up next to the biggest forest in Germany... ah well...
Anyway, a comfort is that a massive park is next to the house I live, it belongs to the biggest forest inmiddle Germany. lol

I share my flat with a friend since students are hardly able to finance a flat by their own. Especially such a massive flat I chose. Harhar.
Well, it's 86 m² and a so called maisonette. Maisonette means that it has a stair extra, which leads to another room above. The flat is in the attic floor.
The hall is not the biggest and it's very dark since the door has just old and small windows. The bathroom is right and the bathtub is directly below the pitched roof area, which makes it very cosey. The kitchen is very big and quadratic.
In there, I have some antique furniture, mixed with high tech. Below the pitched area of the roof stands a rattan sofa where everyone wants to sit in when many people are there. lol
The kitchen is the only room with the heaviest furniture because almost everything in there is antique or self built. The living room is quadratic too but the brightest room of the flat. For me, the office and the living room should be the brightest areas of a flat or house.
In there is a day bed a funny armchair and a rattan chair, so is a rattan commode, on which my massive TV used to stand on (but it exploded somehow when I was in Pirmasens - :S). Now there's just a small tv on it. In the middle between the large windows is a self made lamp, which I'm very proud of.
Next to the living room is the office, which isn't ready yet but I'm going to plan putting white sideboards in it an a rattan chair in the middle.
The entire floor of the flat part below has light brown laminate, except for the kitchen and bathroom, they have white tiles (and they're a pain in the arse to clean every day).

In the living room is the stair, which goes up to the bedroom. The bedroom extends over the size of the whole section below, which means that is is the biggest room..a massive room where one could get lost, if there wasn't a big pillar in the middle.
I've got red carpet in there and some antique furniture. There are three massive skylights, two above me right now and one above the plant corner.

I love plants, that's why my whole flat has plants everywhere.
I will show you some photos of my flat later, my batteries need to charge again. LOL

I've finally got pictures of my home. Well, my room, the computer area and the living room. But be warned, it's incredibly messy .
Also, don't pay attention to the bedroom walls. Me and my brother chose it aaaaaages ago. I must have been about 8.

I'll get more later on.
