Scalextrics/Model Railways

Well this may seem to be abit daft for a topic, but do you have (or have you ever had) a scalextric set and/or model railway?

No, I haven't. But I always wanted to as a kid.

But I got to live the dream two years back at uni when I had to program a system that controlled two trains on a figure-8 with switches and a crossing without letting them crash - more difficult than you'd think.

Ha, I wish. I'm studying Robotics at uni and that was a subject in Real Time Programming. The train-project is a fairly common one in that area.

Yeah, I had a plastic model train system a few years ago. It's probably packed up in storage somewhere. What brings up this thread.

I can't believe I missed this thread.

I had one, never played with it though cos I didn't like it, boring as. I did however always play with this minature Post Office, with ink stamps, and letters, and a phone. I was always the owner.

When a toddler my parents dressed me up as a sailor. I blame it all on that.

Sorry? Yeah. Cars, tracks. Rubbish.

Oh, think so, do you? Necrons are hopeless against Alpha Legion. We're too fast an powerful.

I used to have about 3 Scalextric tracks when I was younger, I think I still have them now actually. I never really used them though.
