Abe PS Allstars Ideas?

So we've all heard that Abe has long been a popular choice by us fans to star in the upcoming Playstation All Stars Game. There are petitions on facebook to get him into it and an interview saying its not too late for abe to join (as he could be DLC) But if he was to be added, what attacks would he have? I would personally like to see:
Shrykull
Possess players and use their controls
Invisibility ring
Red ring
Soulstorm Farts

What do you guys think?

I don't believe beating the hell out of strangers for no obvious reason is the sort of image that Abe as a character represents. Perhaps the Stranger could get away with it, but not- and I quote- "the skinny guy with no weapons". I'd be happier to see a playable Slig than Abe, or perhaps a Rupture Farms stage. You are right that Oddworld should be involved, though- the Abe games were a PlayStation classic.

I think a main issue would be that any other character would have limited abilities, sligs can only shoot and glukkons can't do anything but scare others shitless. We say abe is the skinny guy with no weapons but in game he yields grenades and uses sligs to kill enemies, also these brawl games are never canonical, so it shouldnt really affect oddworld's image, if not it would improve it as people may think 'this guy seems strange, why does he "chant" and why does he turn into this monster?' they may research the game and play it themselves and become an oddworld fan.

well if abe was included I'd actually pick it up. (there's not that much in the game I've seen that makes me want to get the game.)

if abe were to keep his chanting ability I think it should be that possesor ball from much's oddysee that way it wouldn't be a broken move.

A part of me wants Abe to be in All-Stars, but then the half of me doesn't want him to in it.
I would like to pick Abe and take down Big Daddy/Dante/Some tough guy and use Abe's taught before entering the level 3 super which would most likely be the Shrykull.

However if one of friends was to pick Abe I wouldn't be able to attack him.

hmm maybe he could kinda be like the Pokemon trainer from smash bros, for example he fights using possessed Sligs, scrabs and paramites? maybe even glukkon for comedic value? if not im sure that could be incorporated somehow into his special moves.

for regular moves maybe he could...

roll into enemies and knock them over?

throw grenades and blow them up?

even throw pieces of meat and them wild paramites swarm the enemy closest to meat?

chase them with farts?

of course he has things like invisibility and the power to blow things up with the red ring and obviously shrykull would be his ultimate special and kill everyone with his godly goodness

as for possession i think it would have to be some form of special im pretty sure everyone would get pretty pissed off if they kept getting possessed and just had to sit back wwhilsst they got the shit kicked outta them

As much as I'd love to see Abe have as much exposure as possible I don't see how he’d fit into this game. I know he's a PS1 classic but I never really imagined Abe having "combat moves".

I'm on the fence on this one too. I agree extra exposure for Abe is great, but with a brawler there's a risk of having something out of character, which could damage his integrity.

Abe has always been sneaky and is often described as being a pacifist, so I don't feel straight up attacks would work. I think chanting would be cool though. As a special move, he should be able to temporarily take control of another player's character (maybe guide the orb to select the character to control, as someone said).

There would be a question however of whether he can be killed just standing still. Perhaps it should be that immediately upon possession, the character explodes like possessed sligs.

An Oddworld stage might provide the required Oddworld exposure and indeed be appropriate since AO and AE were side scrollers. A RuptureFarms stage, perhaps with some sligs beating some workers in the background...

I actually have a serious suggestion.

Why can't Abe be like Olimar from SSBB and have Mudokon followers? There would be a command to summon them and when the mudokons survive long enough they upgrade into the MO variants? Alone, Abe would be rather defenseless with his pathetic little slaps and what not.
