ooc: I missed the original post but from what I've been able to gather, yes, knocking out another player's character without permission is going too far.
Other than that, though, I think certain other people have been a bit harsh. You've been a good player up until now and I have to qualms about you entering the lab. It often seems to happen in RPGs that when something interesting happens lots of people want to join in
I've done it myself in the past and its just part of the game.
However, as I said, it's better to wait to get permission before knocking a character out. Apart from the corrections Gretin has made, I have to problems with your post as it is now.
