Names!
Okay, so... what are your names? Just out of curiousity.
And before OANST has a go like he did in the Roxxxy blog: 1.) No, people will most likely not call people by their names on here over their user handles 2.) It isn't cool or uncool, it's aesthetic either way. So, Anthony Morgan is mine. You can put your middle name(s) if you want. Which mines is David, the most original name ever (besides John). So...who the heck are you? |
Tom Brown.
It's boring. |
Ruaidri Phillip Patrick McKeever.
Who are you? |
My name is JordanBoi.

Adam Nemo.
|
So Nemo's actually part of your name? Thats pretty cool, actually.

Joseph WoF.

I don't mind people calling others by their name. I don't see the big deal. SOmetimes it seems awkward to call someone by a username if you're used to call them by name. It can also go the other way.
Me calling Chris "Sekto" just seems weird. Edit: I'd like to keep my full name private though. I don't disclose these things online. I'm paranoid. |
I'm Luke.
|
I'm spartacus.

Simon Patrick John Joseph DunnClair (Pronounced 'Dunkler')
I have three middle names, it turns out. My parents apparently had a dispute over what they should be. Usually I sign things that need my full name as either 'Simon John Joseph...' or 'Simon J.J.'. Patrick is my dad's middle/secret first name (everyone knows him as Shane), so yeah. As it turns out, my matriarchal grandmother's last name is Dunn, so I've just thrown them together because I can. S'Pee-Jay Dunkler. |

Sam.
My surname is equally banal. I totally need a penname for when this writing lark takes off... |
Sam isn't banal. I feel fucking insulted.
|
It's not a rare name. And combined with my middle name (John) and my surname which according to a website I looked at once is one of the top ten most common surnames in the UK... I just have three very usual names, which bothers me a bit. I mean I like the names. But they're not a very inspiring combination.
This came to light in university when I was working in a small group with two guys whose surnames were 'Tudor' and 'Stone' which are great names. Mine is bland, as well as common. I have the surname equivalent of the colour beige. |
My name's not so exciting, either. I just get nicknames and all kinds of things off my friends to fix that. We have a right laugh.
If I ever felt so unsatisfied with my name it started to bother me, I'd just think of a name I found interesting and use that. A lot of people go through various name changes, even if they are not documented, so it would be entirely acceptable to go by whatever you want. |
My last name means "Cut" in past tense in context to a haircut..

:
Nor a Danish name, so let's agree to disagree. |
:
Unless Chris has amnesia(which he probably does anyway), he told you my nickname and not real name(Which only few people know... i think). |
Do I know your real name?
|
:
|
Okay, so it isn't Danish?
I'll place a wage that the name he told me is your real name since nicknames don't have a specific gender 'tag'. |
There was a bit of a misunderstanding. I think by "nickname" you thought she meant a name besides her actual name. "Nikki" is just short for her full-name. Its not really a nickname, its just not her full name.
There's nothing either of you are missing here, you just misunderstood. |
Hey everyone, let's play a game.
It's called 'Respecting T-nex's privacy' |
