Telekenetics

Alright, I did a quick search and found nothing.

Just last night I started getting into telekenetics, and I think I'm doing alright.
I started making psiballs, and I tried "Pass the Construct" with my friend, and got a 50% ratio of correct to wrong.

I want to know if anyone else on here is getting into it, and if anyone is interested in getting into it.

For those of you who would like to get into it, I used www.psipog.net

Warning to trollers!

If any trollers do come in here, I will ask for help from the moderators. I'm sick of seeing threads like this being shot down on other forums.

Nonbelievers who came here to spread anti-psionic messages, GTFO now, please.

Bullet Magnet 05-13-2007 02:53 PM

Extraordinary claims must be supported by extraordinary evidence. Psykers have a morbid fear of laboratory conditions.

I so want to believe this, but I require empirical evidence. If people want this to be taken seriously, please please please repeat these abilities in a controlled environment for study. If any claims are real, then they are obviously measurable and a demonstration is easily enough grounds for further investigation. But unless they stop hiding away then we are going to have to accept that there is nothing to see.

I mean, if even one of these claims are true then it will revolutionise biology, physics, all of science (although the explanations I've seen in regards to what is going on, at least in the terminology used, looks like total bull to me). Though wherever I see any reference to inherent powers of crystal the alarm bells become deafening.

I'm particularly unimpressed by the use of the Greek letter psi. That is already used denoting the resultant figure from formulas involved in Genetics.

Nemo 05-13-2007 03:01 PM

Well, try some of the stuff. I recommend starting at square one, psiballs.
They are, to me atleast, easy enough, and while it may not be solid evidence, it is something.

Patrick Vykkers 05-13-2007 03:03 PM

This is not trolling, but stop lying. Telekenetics does not exist any more than my dog is God or I am a 40 year old woman. It's grade A junk New Age bullshit.

mitsur 05-13-2007 08:11 PM

I don't really get this.

Are the psiballs supposed to be in my head? Or actually viewable? Can we use the energy? And how can moving invisible energy be revolutionary?

Nemo, please explain, as the website sucked explaining this.

ziggy 05-13-2007 08:14 PM

This site seems exciting and makes me curious, but I don't see how it will ever work. But I'll look into it anyway just for the hell of it.

Psiballs can be where ever you want them to be. I personally create them in my hands, but you can make them in your head, under your foot, inside your belly, or even across the world. They can be viewable, but from what I understand, it takes a while to make one viewable. The creator of the website said that he has made a couple viewable ones, but that they weren't ones where he intended them to be viewable.

Also, Patrick, shut the fuck up. I don't care if you don't believe in it, but if you're going to be a fat bitch about it, get the fuck out, right now. If you don't have one fucking thing to disprove it, don't go acting like you're fucking Jesus when it comes to the subject.

I apologize for my language, but I'm really pissed off about people who act like that.

Patrick Vykkers 05-13-2007 09:11 PM

And this image just became 1000 times more appropriate;
http://www.fstdt.com/winace/pics/burden_of_proof.jpg
This is not a matter like religion, where actual, credible historical information can be brought to account, and there is a large fog of time. This is like claiming that Al Gore is my wife. I concur with Bullet Magnet.

Psiers and other attention whore bullshitters, offer some proof, or get out.

Nemo 05-13-2007 09:17 PM

Patrick, I'm really sorry about whatever got you thinking this way, but
absence of evidence =/= evidence of absence.

Patrick Vykkers 05-13-2007 09:22 PM

Extraordinary claims demand extraordinary, independent proof. Boo-yah!

I can't prove that Hitler is not currently having sex with my grandma in Hell. Woo wee!

*Before someone applies the same logic to my beliefs, keep in mind of the fog of time and the historical context*

Surely if you magic psi people are so damn incredible, you should be EASILY able to demonstrate to me and scientists that you aren't bullshitting.

Nemo 05-13-2007 09:23 PM

Stop trying to derail this, and get out.

Patrick Vykkers 05-13-2007 09:50 PM

It's perfectly related to the topic. It's related to how there is jack shit evidence for it being real.

Nate 05-13-2007 09:50 PM

Let's keep the langauge and the tone genial, people.

Patrick Vykkers 05-13-2007 10:26 PM

Okay, Mr Woof. But seriously, TK is fake.

Nemo 05-13-2007 10:26 PM

Patrick, please just stop.
If you're going to bash telekenetics, please do so elsewhere, like an official place or something. But please, stop bashing it here.

Patrick Vykkers 05-13-2007 10:37 PM

Ok then. Allah, I'm turning into OANST! I've become the very thing I detest! NOOOOOOOOOO!

Goodbye.

Strike Witch 05-13-2007 10:44 PM

I saw that site on Something Awful.

ziggy 05-14-2007 02:18 PM

How about some proof that it can work. I'm sure it's all in your imagination.

Nemo 05-14-2007 02:52 PM

The mind is an extremely powerful thing. While there may not be solid proof, like with evolution or George Bush's mental retardation, there is a lot of stuff that helps support it.

In the e-book that the website creator made, he describes it like hitting homeruns. It's a rare chance, but there are people who hit more homeruns than others. With practice, those people will hit even more homeruns.
If you can swing a bat, you can hit a homerun; If you can produce a thought, you can learn psionics.

Alf Shall Rise 05-14-2007 04:56 PM

I totally think this is all true. Of course it would take a year, maybe even two to master the arts of Telekinetic. Yall remember that one fact? We use about 10% of our brain. When we try to learn this stuff, we're using more of our brain. Of course, you'll have to even meditate (as silly as it sounds). I actually study this stuff when I get bored.

ziggy 05-14-2007 05:40 PM

ok then how do you make a psi ball or whatever. How do you know when you've supposedly done it?

Arxryl 05-14-2007 05:42 PM

Well, I am very skeptical about this as well, but it seems like a good meditation idea. "Be one with that around" and the like.

T'would be very relaxing if said person meditator does this uh....right? There seems to be multiple ways one could do this...

EDIT: Whilst trying this stuff out I feel like shouting "Kamehameha!"

R.U.B.B.I.S.H.

At any one time, a typical human will be using 10-20% of their brains. But which 10-20% depends on what they're doing; when they are having a conversation the speech centres will be busy and when they're playing a game of football, the vision and physical motion centres will be doing their stuff. Over the course of time, 100% of a healthy person's brain is used.

Nemo 05-14-2007 08:21 PM

Nate's right. You use 100% of your brain, but how well you use it depends on the person and such.

Arxryl and ziggy, there's no real "right" way to make a psiball, or to do anything in psionics. Basically, it's just like having an opinion, in that almost everyone does it differently. I tend to use this way, but you should find the way that works the best for you. This doesn't mean that someone "has" your way of doing it, so you should always try different techniques, as well as even small varients in how you do it.

looney-bin 05-14-2007 10:01 PM

I'm not impressed. Make a cow float and film it.

Nemo 05-14-2007 10:26 PM

Yeah, doing that would make me black out, or possibly die, so no.

Fortesque13 05-15-2007 05:34 AM

Grrr...
I love telekinetics and I'd love to give it a damn try, but my mom took away my PC and now I've gotta take all kinds of crap. I'm in school right now...
Taking kinds of crap like having my teacher nag about how I didn't take the right seat or crap like the slow (dial-up speed) connection! I guess I'll have to wait for the summer break to finally get it back! I hate when some people come and start sppamming and ruining the topic, then it becomes a spam-fest and then it's closed!
