I don't see why people are hating so hard on this game. It looks a hell of a lot of fun and (not knowing what Anarchy Reigns is like) Platinum Games hasn't made a bad game. Ever. Even Mad World was fun.

I think I won't like it after the redesign. I seriously miss not-killing everyone

That Deadpool game looks ball to the wall awesome. I can't wait.

It is not like it has gone all Splinter Cell Conviction. They are completely different games in different genres by different companies. Different.

Let's hope it hasn't, but my realism tells me to be a pessimist.

You need to play more Platinum games then. Then you will understand my optimism! :D

I played more MGS games D:

There was no game in the old version of MGS Rising. It was nothing more than a tech demo for cutting things.

True. But that was before Platinum Games took over, I think.

I refuse to play any game with "Revengeance" in the title.

I think I'm going to buy this when it comes out, I haven't played kart games in a long time and this is looking nice. I hope that song is just there for the trailer and not in the game itself, it's horrible.

Revengeance is a stupid as hell title for a stupid as hell franchise.

Nah, but it's still dumb. Game looks fun though.

I'm going to guesstimate you don't like stupid made up words.

Thankfully I've only had to apply that rule once. Hopefully never again.

I don't mind portmanteaus, they can be useful, but my inner etymologist gets angry when both words mean the same thing - like "chillax" or "guesstimate" - since it doesn't actually convey any additional meaning.

Even worse is when both words actually have the same root. Every other day I hear someone cracking up over a pun and think "That's not nearly as clever as you think it is. They used to be the same word anyway, they just got corrupted and drifted apart; Now you're looking at twins and finding it hilarious that they look the same". I harbour a lot of quiet despisal for my fellow man.

But "Revengeance" is as stupid as it gets. "Vengeance" and "revenge" are practically the same concept even to a layman; When you consider that the root word is "Venge", basically "spite", you can see that "A-venge" is to end spite, "Venge-ful" is to be spiteful, "Re-venge" is to continue spite, and "Venge-ance" is just an act of spite.

As you can see, "Revengeance" is such an utterly imbecilic title that I've been forced to sound fairly clever just to communicate quite how stupid it is.

tl;dr They should have just called it MGS: Spitey spite spite-spite

Irregardless, it’s still a stupid word.
