Does anyone know where I can find a copy of The Art of Oddworld Inhabitants? I've looked online but didn't really find anything. I've looked at the scans that are on TOGG but the quality is very low and I'd love to see the art in good quality.

Take a look on Booko, which checks a lot of different bookselling sites. Looks like there's only second hand options right now, and all incredibly overpriced.

Bloody hell if they're making $470 I'll sell you mine.

It's not because people try to sell it at that price that people actually buy it at that price.

If that was the case there wouldn't be any left on those sites.

Damn that's really disapointing, I wish I knew about the book when it was first released. Any chance someone could send me some high quality scans of a few pages of the book?

Why is it so expensive? I bought my copy about 3 years ago for 40 quid.

I came across a secondhand copy when travelling in South Korea outside a bookstore. Thought it was pretty cool as I had never seen a copy in public before.



Couldn't buy it at the time but it is such a beautiful book.

I had a look on Ballistic Publishing, they still have some of the Limited Edition ones available. Edit: But you can't actually buy them.

I wonder if there's a working edition of the Second Ten Years somewhere out there...

Well they wouldn't have too much to show between 2005-2015; concept art for cancelled games and then the stuff for NnT, which I would presume is fairly similar to that of AO?

Honestly the best thing about TFTY is Varahramyan, Olds and (to a lesser extent) Aebischer. Steven Olds is one of my favourite concept artists of all time; you can see how much he influenced AO and AE.

Well, there’s probably also a lot of concept art for Stranger that wasn’t included in the original book, as it came out before SW was released. That, plus cancelled/shelved games like Fangus could be thrown in.

Man am I glad I bought the hardback at the time. Still one of my most coveted possessions.

Also just putting it out there - I'd totally throw down money for a Kickstarted second volume. Or even a collection of all the Stranger art, since there's so much of it.

With New 'N' Tasty and now SoulStorm. A volume 2 could be very possible. I'd back that for sure.

That's what I thought. They could make a second volume for their 25 years anniversary in 2019, including Stranger's Wrath, New n Tasty, Soulstorm and maybe another game concept arts etc in it. It could be even more bigger than the first volume.
