How everyone's been coping with covid/lockdown

Hey peeps. Man it's been a while since I've been here.

*taps mic*
Is this still on?

Anyways, how has everyone been handling being stuck at home since March? I only started working again in October. Luckily didn't have to get shut down in Lockdown 2 but now someone at work has Covid so we have to self isolate at home.

I started joining online virtual comic cons in May and since then I've picked up the streaming buzz! I've been doing games and art streams. Even did some VRChat stuff too. Made a whole bunch of new friends and of course I am looking forward to Soulstorm.

In other aspects of my life we're doing virtual choir every monday night with our instructor, had some trips out to York, Pwllheli etc. My dog and cat are doing well.

What has everyone been doing and how are things going?

Since Lockdown 2 have done basically bugger all but be indoors - it's a bit crap but then again everyone is on voice chat now so at least there's some kind of company.

Got diagnosed as being immunocompromised a year before everything went global, so I've been shielding since March. I've left the house only to go to my local shop, to the hospital for monthly treatment, and twice to the pharmacy for unrelated meds. At least I get to keep my job by working from home, but having no separation between work and home is not exactly my favourite.

Damn dude, that sucks. I hope that everything goes well for you.

As I said other times I've finished Art School this year and I've been home most of the time. Things are probably getting better regarding the virus but our government didn't help us much, people lost their jobs (myself included) and even their houses too. We're now in some sort of lockdown which gets more or less restricted depending in which region you live. I really hope I can make it to UNI next year to start studying agricultural science (and I also hope that I'll be able to find a job with the covid shit already gone that time).
Also yeah we've all been hanging out on the owf discord server in the voice chat. Me and roz played some Halo MCC too, it was fun :)

That sucks, I hope your immune system gets better.

What do you do for living these days, by the way?

It's probably a for-life deal, but with some regular for-life treatment hopefully it balances out.

I do behind-the-scenes admin stuff for a small indie dev called Jaw Drop Games. And yes, the name similarity to JAW was a bit weird at first.

Well, let's hope for the best. If in practice it's just taking some pills to not have any symptoms, it's still good.

Haha, the coincidence's amusing in more ways than one. Glad to see you got something, tho. I still haven't managed to find a job in UK to migrate, and not sure if I'll continue trying.

The way things are going here you'd best off avoid the UK, mate. We're rapidly becoming the bargain bin shithole of Europe.

UK was also a first choice of mine to move in (because getting out of Italy might be a real bless for me) and I'm not sure I want to go there when the time might come. It really is starting to look like a shithole.

Excuse you guys, it's great here! Though I don't know why you'd leave Poland considering the kind of cars you got there for such cheap money... :D
