If I had a super power

Ah my very first blog, and my mind in the mood for some random rambling without the restrictions of me going off topic.

Ok, my topic is if I had a superpower. I thought about this for a long time and I am comic book fan. I read a lot marvel and Todd McFarlene's series. Well mainly spawn. I also watch superpower movies and TV dramas like "Heroes", spiderman, xmen, blah blah. So many I will not bore you listing them all. You name it, I have seen it.

What on my mind right now is undecided and hopefully by the end of this. I would have thought of a good superpower I like. So this is basically for me to clear my mind from the stress in my life.

Let me start with work. So far it is been hard as most of the companies in HK are closing down and mostly the IT people are first to go. So I would like to use "Professor Xavier's" power change the influences to make me stay longer. It would be nice to absorb powers like "Peter" from Heroes or "Rogue" from xmen. But these to me is too much and can be easily abused. So I am happy with just one. Prof. X is excluded as well. Good but not cool enough.

My life is quite busy and where I live is always full of people. Maybe invisibility. Stealing and free food. xD. Too much avoidance in that power. What else? Walking through walls is good but it doesn't do much. Healing and possible indestructable claws won't benefit me much.

Ah flying is could benefit in Hong Kong. Traffic can be a pain and petrol/diesel prices are too high. So referring to Nathan from Heroes, Flying is not exactly dangerous. so that is out the window. I like to have magneto's power but everything must have a weakness. Can't control plastic and glass

Good grief still undecided. What would be a good one to get my life back together. Ah ha! I have got it. I would like to teleport like Nightcrawler. Well didn't solve the work issue but at least I can teleport out there when boss says "look listen our company is not making any business so I asking you to take leave. Today is your last day. >_< I hate that sentence. It a lot better than "Your fired" at least.

So there you have it. I decided on Teleportation. Yays.

	Also, you can send resumes all around the world and go wherever you needed to be. You wouldn't even need to live in the same city as your job, if you were powerful enough. World-strength teleport would probably be my choice also. Could be a tourist anywhere and come home to sleep in my own bed. Also, could take a bf on a fantastic date, any day of the week.

	Super Strength. I might not be able to punch you but I sure as hell can tear the shit out of everything you own. Super Strength comes with stamina, too.

	"You name it, I have seen it." Yeah? So I guess you remember the campy x-men spin-off 'made for tv' movie Generation X, right? Anyway, I'd probably have to choose powers along the lines of Mystique. Or Magneto. Better yet, a combination of both.

	If I could pick ANY power, it would probably be Peter Petrelli's power of copying everyones ability If I had to pick a specific ability, it would probably be regeneration... since it gives you the most safety of all the powers. I'd rather have a power I know I would never loose, rather than something like teleporting...

The Peter Petrelli power only works in a world full of mutants.

As far as regeneration, I say boo. Kastere would just use his super strength to punch your head right off of your body. Then you'd die.

Then I would use my powers to shapeshift into OANST so that I might impregnate his wife with my demon seed. I'd then let him raise the bastard child.

Yikes. That might be a bit far. Oh well. Edit penis be damned.

	Has a ship ever sunk because of too many babies on board? Also, if you choose wolverine or Deapool regeneration, you'll be fine. If I could regenerate, I'd just turn into a huge masochist. Like, jumping into traffic and shit. Awesome.

	I have difficulty picking between two. Stopping time (Around me, and I don't care if it's technically impossible.) or being imune to physical damage.

Absolute control of external and internal energy management, including the maintenance of the balance between them.

Feeling tired? Need more Energy? Just reach out your hand and take some out of the air. Energy cannot be made or destroyed only transfered so it's not like the air's going to miss it. Need a smoke? Channel energy from within yourself to light one up!

This superpower would also be completely environmentally friendly as the mere channeling of a recourse wouldn't affect any sort of energy or trophic related balance and could also be used as an umbrella power for many of the others inc: super strength, super speed, flight, telekinesis. They all boil down to the use and abuse of energy in the end.

We did this last year, my answer has not changed.

The most original superpower I came up with was a pro-active super-immune system, able to combat any infectious disease, parasite or cancer. The twist being that it can also go airborne, clearing the vicinity of pathogens, go into other people to treat them as well, but also change tack and treat other people and organisms like pathogens, becoming a very deadly an fast autoimmune disease. All in all, this power seems to have more in common with a disease than an immune system.

I, however, would prefer telekinesis or some blasting ability. Unfortunately all my superhero fantasies end with exposing myself to the experts in order to satisfy my curiosity about how they work.

	I would choose flight. Either that, or super-human intellect for music. Maybe telepathy (that includes telekinesis and teleportation). I think the Geass powers are pretty cool in that they all alter the target's brain.

	Kastere: Regenerate from a single cell all you like. But once you've done it once or twice, you'll probably stop "jumping into traffic and shit" just for the fun of it. Because it would hurt like... like... jumping into traffic and shit. WoF: That was my other common response to this question, though you expressed it rather better than I could.

	My other super power would be morphine. Telekinesis and invisibility are the definition of 'Super-powers for creepy fuckers' but it would be pretty cool to have them anyway. Following people around and sucker punching hem would be awesome.

	Joe's answer is the correct one. I'd imagine you could use it for regeneration to some degree as well-increased energy transferred to healing yourself, for instance.
