I was really freaked out earlier this week. Abbey got sick, and she was more sick than I have ever seen her. She couldn't talk at all, and at one point did a little spasm as waking up that was accompanied by this horrid gurgling sound. We rushed her to the E.R. where after five hours they told us that she has some virus and that we should keep giving her children's tylenol. My only thought was "Great. That's 2,000 dollars well spent".

Money is easily disposed when your daughter's safety is a possible risk.

OANST: I don't know shit about the US medical system, but couldn't you have taken her to a GP?

Not unless his insurance is up to par. Paying without insurance is pricey and annoying.

Yeah, swine flu is doing the rounds. I know a couple of people who've had it, one in my family, one on my biology project. They both got over it in a couple of days.

I thought it was an E.R. type situation.

I just got over swine flu.

I didn't even know I had it. Just thought it was a regular flu is all.

Honestly, I don't think I've ever had this 'regular' flu. I've had colds aplenty, but none of them reached debilitating levels of rottenness.

I've never had the flu. Sister had it when she was young...
Now my brother might have the swine flu. <_< Dad too.
Doesn't seem so bad...well..plus they caught it early.
