I just got back yesterday from the Insomnia gaming festival in Coventry, England. And my god was it insane.

I got the BYOC ticket which meant I could bring my own computer and set it up in the Lan. I went with 3 friends who all did the same. We also camped, which was okay but we didn't get amazing sleep. (what did you expect)

First thing we did was play in a Dota 2 tournament. My first real taste of competitive Dota and it was hard. We managed to beat the first team but then got destroyed by an actual pro team. We even got one of our games casted and streamed on twitch!

After Dota, we just chilled out and played tons of games with other people. Mostly TF2 amongst other titles.

They also had a massive exhibition hall where tons of gaming shops, events, places to play various games, a retro corner and a giant Minecraft themed part in the center, where I think many 'famous' YouTubers were there signing stuff. I did know any of them so I just ignored that part.

So I'm back from that. Tired as hell because of the tents, but it was such a laugh, I'd recommend going even just for a day.

You find that amazing? Oh well... but okay. Am I the only one who is fed up with playing Dotas, TFs, GMods, shitty Minecrafts, FFs, CSs, bitches? Just look at my nails.

Well, maybe, that is just my half-fish mind, but:
Why. Do. All. Those. "men". Look. So. UNTIDY?

OMO, ancient platforms! That really sparkles. If I visited THIS, I would only try them. Unforgettable experience. Did you play them?

i did have an original PS1 before they started mass-producing those cheap fucking round-edged ones. i had the one like a plastic box with super-sharp corners. but i gave it away. i could have made £20 or something.

but i still have an original Xbox (you know, the one console in the world that's actually bigger than a breeze block) and a PS2 slimline. and an Amiga 1200. what could i get for those, CP? should i take them to auction with David Dickinson? tell me what financial decisions to make, dammit!

right? thing is it was actually fucking stable, i never had any problems with it ever. Microsoft surprised me.

then 360 RROD and the million other problems etc.

My model is the one that occassionally bursts in to flames due to faulty internal components. They sent me a power supply with its own circuit breaker that theoretically should cut out before it happens.

Xbox originals are worth pretty much the same as PS2 but it mostly depends on the condition of the console and if you have games, controllers, boxes, wires ect with it.

thanks for the info. to be honest i hate David Dickinson's orange face anyway so i'll be keeping them for another 300 years.

You didn't have a cool xbox until you did the old IDE swap softmod to get the Halo 2 DLC after the evil tyrants at Microsoft took original XBL down.

Also Midtown Madness 3 DLC, you can't say no to that.
