TURN ON...THE KRYPTONIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITE!

This actually happened earlier, this isn't a story.

Today was a nice sunday. Mild weather, sunny skies, just a nice day to go and hang around in my greasy local mall with some slack-jawed fucklers and stare at things I don't need to buy.

I began my shopping trip in HMV, my usual starting point, and found that they did not have any Tim and Eric DVD's in stock and the only other Adult Swim shows were Robot Chicken (which I own a couple of seasons of already) and The Venture...

I live right next to a daycare. Well, I did, until it closed. So now I live next to a rundown building with a slowly degrading backyard that the police occasionally use for SWAT training. It's not necessarily an ugly building, but it's sad, and the conditions of its closing are somewhat depressing.

Over the last year it's gradually become more and more rundown. The wooden planks that held the rocks in the recreation area were smashed some time ago and a small sea of pebbles and stones...

Every day I wash desks at lunch recess. I have a 40 minute window to wash somewhere in the area of 150 average sized desks, 8 giant rhombus desks and dump 9 Garbage pails. Usually it takes about 30 minutes, assuming most of the kids get all of their crap off their desks.
So today, I'm at the Grade 6 room. 2 classrooms left, and I come across this really fucking creepy collage of Robert Pattinson some girl made.

Now understand that at this point I'm really apathetic about Twilight...

On Monday I had a pretty light scratch in my throat, nothing serious, I just assumed it was from smoking over the weekend, but by Wednesday morning it turned into a disconcertingly sharp ache, and swallowing swallowing in any capacity (spit, water, Ibuprofen etc...) was a jab in the back of my mouth.

By Thursday morning I decided not to go to work, enshrouded myself in blankets, hot tea, video games, toys I got on Tuesday and just generally fucked around all day in a lovely haze of...

I guess I haven't talked about my life or whatever since the big stupid shitstorm from January, so here's what's happened:

-Started a new co-op at an elementary school in late January.

-Really enjoy the work I do there, mostly custodial stuff, with occasional yard duty. Had some trouble in my second week with these 8th graders, but now they're properly intimidated.
