I have just a few minutes ago found my old Wolfenstein disc, and am delighted to find that it works very well in DOSBox. I forgot how much of a kick I got out of the cheesy German WWII marches on it. It hasn't dated so well, though.

In other news, I'm having trouble with AOL, and their services are fucking useless. They are going around in circles asking the same questions (and you can barely understand a lot of the people that "help" you because of the strong foreign accent). Now...

We somehow ended up with this on the computer, but never mind. It's the shittiest virus you could hope to catch. You can get rid of it by merely renaming the folder, restarting the computer and deleting it, and not a trace of it will be seen again.

In other news, for those who noticed, I have returned from my wonderful visit to Northumberland. For Christ's sake, go to Bamburgh castle. You'll love it.

I today (or, more correctly, yesterday) succeeded in getting my nephew interested in Oddworld. He loves it to bits, despite being bad at it. I have a good feeling that we'll be on that for a while in the next week or two. It'll blow his mind when I lend him Exoddus - while I believe Oddysee was a little better in terms of atmosphere, Christ knows that a child will fucking love crushing slugs in a round mining machine.

It came. Animated Robin Hood DVD. He's had us watch it twice. I just took it the first time, the second time, I had to make myself something to eat, so that got me out of the second half. It's our turn to relax now, so we don't have to watch it again until tomorrow.

The film itself was not that good. I hated having to witness the Americanisation of wonderful English folklore (especially the American accents the characters bore, but if I'm honest, I'd rather that than poor English imitations,...

Emily's been overly kind and gone and bought a Robin Hood DVD that my nephew's been nattering for since we last took him to the Tales of Robin Hood museum (which is no longer about because of the recession) in 2004. My brother and I have often bought other DVDs that interested him, but avoided that one because we'd rather not suffer nightmares involving anthropomorphic foxes after hours a day being subjected to such things.

This doesn't sound as bad as it is. Believe me, it'll be on...

Mainly because the second series of "Flight of the Conchords" has finished. That was fucking funny. They had better make a third series, or that means no more Jemaine or Murray. Bret's a good laugh, but the other two tickle me more.

My nephew is also sad. My brother's freeview has broken, and so he can't watch Sooty anymore. What he doesn't know is that I've burnt a DVD with some episodes on for him, which I'll give him when I next see him.

I saw next door's cat defecating in our garden again, so I discarded the boiling water I was going to use for tea over it. That'll teach the little cretin.

A lot of people disagree with me, but I think that cats are horrible. Just looking at them makes my skin crawl. They even look like cretins, and yet people still fucking love them. They're fuckers. I even saw one the other day smoking inside an old folks' home.
