People Have Lives Now

I've got a life but I ain't going. This place is weird. The people and culture here don't make any sense, and it seems like everyone has history with someone else here. I joined this place way later than I should have, I missed all the cool shit, I most just sit around and listen to the old memories of shit like a minecraft server, and stories of old members. Oh there was that one time hobo came back for a day kinda. Alcar decided to actually be active for N'n'T then disappeared like my father. I was super excited to start new memories and see cool new things go down with a hopeful influx of new members N'n'T was gonna cause but then it never happened. I feel like a tourist here, just taking pictures of happenings long gone, staring at all the old folks who were around when stuff was occurring as they sigh in disappointment at the barely living site they used to call home.

Or it's 4:15 am and I don't know what I'm saying.

Has nothing to do with people getting lives. It's just that this place has been abandoned by the powers that be over half a decade ago and it's turned into a cesspool ever since.

I'd agree with Nep as well; I wouldn't say I have a life yet, but it's in progress. That and I've just had jack all to say here anyway for a long time.

I don't have a life but I have sort of outgrown the forums even though I miss it and it's a better social place than facebook will ever be, besides, I'm not really that much of an ever-present member so I don't think I really compare to the likes of say, OANST, WoF, Nate, T-Nex, etc.

I just had a look at some of the old threads, saw some old familiar names that got me all nostalgic. I mostly kept to FC (and OW RPG before that), so that's where I knew the most people from (and the OT WDYLL threads). I wonder how all those people who left are doing now... They were cool.

I guess that said members either found other places to socialise with people, or they just simply got way too busy to keep up with OWF shenanigans. For some, OWF was a way of expressing their creativity (mostly meaning FC), and if they no longer can spend time with their art, they pretty much lose their only way of connecting to OWF members, so I guess that could be another reason. I know this applies to me - I no longer draw comics, so I don't really have anything to post in FC, and OT generally doesn't interest me, apart from Non-OW Gaming.
