I wondered where you went off to. Had a good time, I hope?

Bloody did. Excellent weather, and very comfy caravan. Unfortunately, somebody stole the television remote, so whenever we wanted to watch it on a night when we had nothing left to do, we had to get up to change the channel. Fortunately, we found out that Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer are back with "Shooting Stars", and Rob Brydon is now presenting "Would I Lie to You?". But the greatest part of the holiday was discovering that Big Brother is nearing it's end. I have been looking forward to its demise.

i heard of Vic & Bob's return, i just hope its as good as the Christmas special they did. that was fucking great, they hadn't lost it.

The next time that I go to Northumberland I am totally going to Bamburgh castle.

I went to Northumberland last week. I also went to Bamburgh Castle last week.

What day did you go on? Also what time of day? I'm trying to work out if I saw you.

I went on Thursday at about two in the afternoon after visiting a mediaval priory o the Holy Islands.

Ooh. I visited the same island too!

But I went to both on Tuesday so we missed each other by 2 days.

Did you visit the Elizabethan castle? It was very good, but too crowded the day I went. I enjoyed looking around the priory most.

And am I the only one who thinks that it's a shame that the ground floor of Haggerstone Castle has been turned into a gambling room? Slot machines, electronic poker, the works.

Yeah, we went to the Elizabethan Castle. Tad expensive but a very nice castle, rather cozy and would make for a fucking awesome house if you were rich.

I didn't see Haggerstone Castle unfortunately-we didn't realize how big Lindesfarne/Holy Island was. Thought it was a little island with just the priory and castle, not a full town.
